How To Celebrate Mothers Day In Isolation
While Australia’s social distancing rules mean we can’t go out and treat Mum to brunch this year, that doesn’t mean we can’t spoil the leading lady in our lives. We have listed some ideas as to how you can celebrate Mum this Mother’s Day while following social distancing rules. We love you Mum! X
BELLINI BREAKFAST
Don your chef’s hat and get in the kitchen. Treat Mum to a Bellini (or two!) and cook up a storm! Think sourdough toast, avocado, fresh berries, choc chip pancakes, bacon, eggs and lots of laughs. Bonus points if you surprise her with breakfast in bed!
RIVER WALK
Get up early and take Mum for a morning walk along the river, beach or bush. The key to a successful walk is the takeaway coffees and fresh almond croissants after! You earnt it ladies.
DELIVER FLOWERS TO HER DOOR
Can’t visit Mum this year? Make Mum feel loved by having flowers delivered to her door on Sunday morning. Here is a list of some Brisbane florists delivering this Mother’s Day:
For our interstate friends, try Interflora.
WRITE A LETTER
When was the last time you wrote Mum a hand-written letter? Not just a Mother’s Day card, but a proper letter telling her how much you love and appreciate her. Bonus points if you enclose old family photos.
MAKE A PLAYLIST
Make Mum a specially curated playlist with all her favourite tunes. She will love the time, effort and thought you have put into creating it. Don’t forget to include her old favourites – Fleetwood Mac and ABBA.
GIVE MUM A CALL
When all else fails, Mum will love nothing more than a simple phone call. Give her a ring to tell her how much you love her. For the tech-savvy mums out there, get on Zoom or FaceTime and have champagne at hand to give a toast to your favourite woman.
GIFT MUM AN APÉRO TEE
We love our printed tees, Apéro tote bags, Apéro scarves, and embroidered jumpers, and we just know that Mum will too! Check out our Mother’s Day Gift Edit here for some of our favourites!
