As the year draws to a close and we start to come together with our families, we realise how incredibly lucky and thankful we are. Because of our beautiful Apero community, we have been in a blessed position to help those in need; families, women and children who are not so fortunate and are doing it tough.

Every time you’ve purchased something online with Apero in 2020, we’ve donated 5% to Women’s Community Shelters. You have helped this charity provide refuge and practical help for women who are homeless or subject to domestic abuse. We’re not only incredibly grateful that you’ve helped us donate so much to this worthy cause, but that you’ve given us a platform to discuss these issues.

If you are in a position to donate money, food or essential items, you can find all of the information to do so on the Women’s Community Shelters website. You can also find information on how to organise fundraising events and how you can apply to volunteer your time at the shelters directly, as all help is greatly appreciated!

For those who are doing it tough themselves, kindness does not always have to be in the form of money or gifts, it can be with a nice word, being a listening ear, or lending a helping hand. Every little thing you do can impact positively on someone's life. Please also don’t forget to be kind to yourself these busy months.
