As fashion enthusiasts, our team at Apéro are no strangers to the temptation of adding fashion pieces to our ever-growing wardrobes! With thousands of options at our fingertips, it’s easy to be enticed by new styles and trends. However, with the rising consumer demand for brands to implement sustainable and ethical practices within their business and with consumer’s favouring charitable fashion over harmful fast fashion, there’s no need to sacrifice one for the other!
Charitable fashion is about giving back to the community or charities in need through donations made from fashion sales. When it comes to aiding communities in need and igniting positive change, charities are vital to masses of people in desperate need. The fashion industry is one of the largest sectors and has the power to assist and influence consumers to purchase charitable fashion, to make a positive contribution and difference.
At Apéro, one of our core values is charitable fashion and giving back to disadvantaged communities, specifically Australian women in need. Each month, we donate 5% of all online sales to Women’s Community Shelters. This Australian-based charity provides refuge and practical help for women who are homeless or subject to domestic abuse. Our continuous dedication to this cause and partnership with the charity has been an incredibly heartwarming experience to see the positive impact it has had on the community. Through our contribution and with help from our amazing customers, we can together assist in helping women and children in need, whilst also igniting positive change in the world.
