Australia & New Zealand Returns

RETURN POLICY: 

This policy outlines when you’re eligible for a refund, exchange or store credit. All returns must meet the conditions below.

  • All returns must be lodged within 30 days of order shipment from our warehouse. 
  • Items must be unworn, unwashed and in original condition, with all tags attached.
  • Items must show no signs of wear, including: Makeup or self-tan marks, Perfume, deodorant or washing powder smells
  • Returns must be submitted via our online returns portal.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Returns packages must be dropped off within 14 days of receiving your return shipping label.
  • Items marked FINAL SALE are not eligible for exchange, refund or store credit.
  • Discounted sale items not marked FINAL SALE are eligible for size exchange or store credit only.
  • Gifted items may only be exchanged or returned for store credit by the gift recipient, provided the order number is supplied. Refunds for gifted items can only be processed by the purchaser to the original payment method. 

EXCHANGES & STORE CREDITS

  • All exchange requests must be lodged within 30 days of order shipment from our warehouse, even if your preferred item is temporarily out of stock.
  • Exchanges are processed within 3–7 business days of the item being received and approved.
  • If requesting a store credit, it will be issued once your return is in transit.
  • Some returns may require manual review, which can delay your return label being generated.

EXCHANGE & STORE CREDIT SHIPPING FEES

  • Australia: FREE return shipping for exchanges (shipping label provided)
  • New Zealand: $15 AUD flat fee for exchanges return shipping (shipping label provided)

Apéro Label does not take responsibility for tracking parcels returned using customer-arranged shipping.

REFUNDS

  • Refunds are only available for full-priced items.
  • All refund requests must be lodged within 30 days of your order being shipped from our warehouse.
  • Items marked FINAL SALE are not eligible for refunds, exchanges or store credit
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 3–10 business days of receiving and approving the return
  • Refunds can only be processed back to the original payment method/s (e.g. gift card first, then credit card/PayPal/Afterpay)

REFUND SHIPPING FEES

  • Australia: $9 AUD return shipping fee (shipping label provided)
  • New Zealand: $15 AUD return shipping fee (shipping label provided)

These fees cover the cost of the prepaid return label and are deducted from your refund.

Apéro does not take responsibility for tracking parcels returned using customer-arranged shipping.

Gifted items are eligible for store credit only when returned by the gift recipient, provided you have the order number.

AFTERPAY PURCHASES

  • Afterpay purchases are eligible for a refund if the item is faulty or damaged
  • We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases made via Afterpay
  • Refunds are processed in line with Afterpay’s system and timelines
  • For Afterpay-specific enquiries, please contact Afterpay directly.

FAULTY OR DAMAGED ITEMS

We’re sorry if your item arrived with a fault, this is not the experience we want for you.

If you believe your item is faulty or damaged: 

  1. Lodge a return in our returns platform using your order number and email address. 
  2. Select the faulty item. 
  3. Select ‘Item is faulty’ as the return reason. 
  4. You will be prompted to provide both photos and comments of the fault, please be as specific as possible. 
  5. Your faulty return request will be assessed by our team for approval. 
  6. You will receive an email confirming the next steps for your faulty return. 
  • Return shipping fees are waived for returns with an item that our team has deemed to have a manufacturing fault. 
  • Misuse, incorrect care and general wear and tear are not considered faults

Your rights for faulty items are protected under Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA).

International Returns

We currently only offer refunds or store credit for international orders. Exchanges are not available.

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Any tariffs, duties, customs or import fees paid are non-refundable 
  • Returns packages must be dropped off within 14 days of receiving your return shipping label.
  • Items marked FINAL SALE are not eligible for exchange, refund or store credit.
  • Discounted sale items not marked FINAL SALE are eligible for size exchange or store credit only.
  • Gifted items may only be returned for store credit by the gift recipient, provided the order number is supplied. Refunds for gifted items can only be processed by the purchaser to the original payment method. 

RETURN PROCESSING

  • Refunds are processed within 3–10 business days of receiving and approving the return
  • Store credit are processed as soon as your return parcel is in transit
  • Refunds can only be processed back to the original payment method/s (e.g. gift card first, then credit card/PayPal/Afterpay)

RETURN SHIPPING FEES

  • Return shipping fees are charged up to $50 AUD, depending on location, size and weight of your item. 
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable
