WHEN YOU EDUCATE A GIRL,

EVERYTHING CHANGES.

Can you imagine, when you were a young girl all those years ago, full of wonder and excitement, that you fell into the statistic of being one of over 130 million girls around the world who were denied an education? How different would your life be?This week, we are sharing with you a charity who believes that every girl on the planet has the right to an education. One Girl.

It’s so hard to fathom that there are so many girls out there, on the same beautiful planet as you and me, who don’t share the same opportunities in life as us. One Girl focuses their efforts in Uganda and Sierra Leone. Amongst the poorest countries in the world, it is not uncommon for a young girl to miss out on the opportunity of being properly educated. In fact, only 16% of girls there complete high school. One Girl has implemented programs and provided scholarships in Sierra Leone and Uganda, changing girls' lives and the role of women there in the future. Their hard work has provided access to quality education, supported future female role models, promoted health and menstrual hygiene, advocated for sexual rights and respect for girls, and elevated the role and status of women and girls within the community.

The simple fact is, an educated girl will help fight climate change, will reduce poverty, and will help create a fair and sustainable planet. Her health, status, income and entire future will change for the better!

One Girl have many ways you can donate and join in on their exciting fundraising initiatives. And if you jump on over to their website you can read all about the wonderful work they do and the lives they are changing in Sierra Leone and Uganda. It’s inspiring.
